For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
Psalm 54:7
People aren’t our enemy.
Even so, at times some are used by the devil to accomplish his desire (kill, steal, destroy).
While there are persons who fights against God’s people in proxy for the devil, what do you think is God’s desire concerning those persons?
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1 Tim 2:3-4
This is God’s desire. To save even them who do the desires of the devil.
Does that mean that all who fight against God, will come to eventually love and serve him?
No, sadly it doesn’t.
However Psalm 54;7 is pointing forward to Christ. In him, we see the love of God, even towards those we (as humans) sometimes label as our enemy.
[10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Romans 5:10 KJV
If you ever had the thought or the hope or the imagination that God would destroy people you consider an enemy, you are not serving God’s desire.
In 1 Timothy 2:3-4, it shows that God desires to save EVERYONE.
If we are truly his children, we would desire the same the things he does.
Be blessed.
