The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.
Psalm 104:22 KJV
In verse 21 God speaks of the young lions that roar after their prey and though ‘young lions’ is applied spiritual to men, the young lions of verse 21 seek meat 📖 from God and is therefore specific to men who trust him. Now he speaks of their actions when the sun rises. They go to their den, i.e. their refuge, their shelter. Why?
Consider that when Jesus enters our life, biblically, that’s akin to a sun rise (Mal 4:2). His light is described as true light (1 John 2:8). Scripture had to say “true light” cause prior to Christ, we walked under fake light, darkness masquerading as light ☀️ (Matt 6:23).
The young lions who go to their place of refuge/den when the sun rises, are those who find refuge in God when the enemy rise up against them, like a man finding shelter from the heat of the sun.
The only way to find refuge from the heat ☠️ of the sun 🐍 is by abiding in Christ. He is our refuge and fortress. He shades us ✝️ from the sun that would otherwise smite us (Isa 49:10).
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
Revelation 7:16 KJV
