He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. [10] He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Psalm 103:7,10
Continuing with a look at God’s ways , God himself, in Jesus, took the reward of our sins i.e. the sins of all mankind.
He did not do so because we are deserving of it, as by virtue of our sins, we all deserved death. He did so out of his great love for “the world”.
It’s important to distinguish that God does not love the things in the world (1 John 2:16) but he loves the people of the world (John 3:16).
Now, though he took the reward of all our sin, we all don’t benefit from his actions on the cross. Only those who humble themselves in repentance towards him are recipients of his sacrifice.
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
James 4:6
The heart of God is that we would all be saved, but if we refuse to see our sin and repent of it, then the reward of sin (death) remains upon our own heads.
Humble yourself and repent.
