Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
Psalm 103:21 KJV
If you have accepted Jesus as Lord and saviour then the scripture in Psalm 103:21 applies to you. You are a member of his host i.e. you belong to the family of heaven. You are a minister. You are to do his pleasure!
How do we “do his pleasure”?
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luke 12:32 KJV
We do his pleasure when we, by faith, function in our role as ‘ministers’.
It is only when we share and stand in Christ, who is the entrance to the kingdom, can others come to faith in him, even as we remain in him.
For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:11 KJV
What is the Father’s good pleasure?
The Father’s good pleasure is to give us the kingdom and the means of his pleasure being fulfilled is via faith in Jesus. Without faith, it’s impossible to please God, because without faith in Christ we will remain outside his kingdom, and this is in no way pleasing to God. As he said:
…. As I live, saith the LORD God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Ezekiel 33:11 KJV
