The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
Psalm 103:6
Here again, scripture points us to the Messiah. He is the LORD that brought judgment and righteousness for all who were oppressed.
Now notice what God does for the oppressed in the next verse.
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Acts 10:38
In the verse above we notice that He heals the oppressed. We also notice “how”, which is through Jesus Christ.
The oppression of the devil wounds us all. Those wounds made us feel unlovable, caused us to harden our hearts, made us self serving etc.
But the love of God, through the blood shed on the cross, brings healing.
He softens our hardened hearts by the love and mercy we receive via his ransom sacrifice.
Though he is our Lord, he humbly loves us into submission by serving us (Luke 22:27) and by his example of love, we can now happily serve others, rather than self, as he did.
In short, he heals our heart by His love. What’s more? Healed hearts (are often moved to or) seeks to heal (others’) hearts.
For a healed heart is one that has been set free from (the) oppression (of sin & death). Selah.
