Psalm 78:61 And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy’s hand.
What does it mean that God delivered his glory into the enemy’s hand?
Consider this: 1 Cor 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
God was talking about his people when he spoke of the woman/bride being delivered to the enemy (in Psalm 78:61 above). But it is also a shadow of Christ (manifested as a man).
Go back to Eden… the woman was deceived, then she ate off the fruit and died. However, the man was not deceived but chose to eat, even knowing that he would die.
Why would the man choose to eat the fruit and die?
The woman was decieved into death, the man knew full well his choice will lead to death. These are all shadows of a cosmic love story of Jesus Christ and his people (who we know is considered the woman / the bride). The glory of God spoken in Psalm 78:1 is the woman who was delivered to death, because she was deceived.
Just as Adam knew he would die if he ate of the fruit, Christ also chose freely to partake of death for his people (his bride).
How was Adam’s choice to die, similar to Jesus’s choice to die?
Both Adam and Jesus, chose to die for their bride. Jesus’s death however would mean liberating his bride. Review the video and share your thoughts. Did Jesus’s death save his people?
Selah!
