I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalm 91:2
This is the testimony of one who dwells in God. God is our refuge..our fortress. To dwell in God as a fortress is to dwell in a place that is so well fortified, that the enemy is powerless against the one who is in this fortress, which speaks of him as love:
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
To dwell in Jesus is to dwell in the manifest love of God. He is the love that covers all sins, he is the love that bears all (1 Cor 13:7), he is the love that doesn’t fail and this fortress-love is beyond measure… beyond understanding:
Ephesians 3:18-19 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; [19] And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.
