
Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

Follow this progression of words and consider this:
When a man is joined with his wife they are one flesh. When joined as one, how the husband treats “his body” is akin to how he treats his wife (Eph 5:25-31). The Bible tells us our maker is our husband (Isa 54:5). When we are joined with Jesus as his bride, we are “his body”, we become one:
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV
How Christ treats his body, is akin to how he treats his bride, since they are one spirit.
We are buried with him, we are crucified with him, we are raised with him, because we are his body… what does any of this have to do with the Psalm above? God covers himself with a “garment of light”. Remember, however he treats himself is akin to how he treats his bride.
And there appeared a great wonder a in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun,….
Revelation 12:1
God dwells in Light unapproachable to man (1 Tim 6:16), but when we are buried and raised in Christ, we are adorned as a bride prepared for her husband. Now, by virtue of his blood, we have been clothed in light, as he is, so we can dwell in light, where he is.
