Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.
Psalm 104:29 KJV
Anyone who the face of God is hidden from is in trouble ⚠️. Cain understood this all to well, hence his statement:
Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
Genesis 4:14 KJV
Cain knew that to be hidden from God’s face was a death sentence an said as much. But ironically, when Isaiah saw God’s face in Isa 6:5, he also proclaimed that to be a death sentence. 🤔
To see the face of God is death and life, to be hidden from his face is also death and life. Beholding God is death to the flesh and life to the spirit, to be hidden from him is death to the spirit and life to the flesh.
The question we all have to answer is where do we want to die? Beholding his face or hidden from it? As for me, I want to be blessed and scripture tells me that those who die IN the Lord are blessed (Rev 14:13).
How does one behold the face of the Lord? Die in him? Glad you asked 😁
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Romans 6:3 KJV
And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
John 1:36 KJV
