Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
Psalm 104:1 KJV
Jesus said in John 5:39 to search the scriptures for they testify of him, these words are echoed in Acts:
To him (Jesus) give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Acts 10:43 KJV
Every prophet and every book of scripture is speaking of Jesus. Therefore, we have to ask him for his wisdom, and apply line on line principle on everything we read in the scripture, lest we miss him.
Line on line shows that the above Psalm has several nuggets which testifies of Jesus. Consider one:
The LORD, our Great God, is Jesus: Psalm 104:1 ….O LORD my God, thou art very great…..
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Titus 2:13 KJV
Jesus is the great God and Saviour of the world. He appeared and sacrificed himself as a lamb:
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Hebrews 9:26 KJV
Now, by virtue of his sacrifice, we can have fellowship with God. Therefore, to bless the LORD as the psalmist said, is to bless the name of Jesus.
