I’ve always heard how God will write our names in heaven. It has been an amazing prospect to look forward to; our names written in the book of heaven!!
However, I came to learn and understand that our names can also be written somewhere else, somewhere less glamorous, somewhere fit for death.
O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.

Jeremiah 17:13 says three things, along with “written in the earth“, and these are “all that forsake” God, “they that depart from” God, and “they have forsaken the Lord“.
Which says to us that, those who do not choose God, shall not have their names written in heaven, since they have “forsaken… the fountain of living waters”.
When we choose God, then our names are written in heaven.
Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Luke 10:20 KJVS
Luke is saying we have much to be happy for, but the true joy is that we (who walk in Christ) have our names written in heaven!!
