But godliness with contentment is great gain. [7] For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Jesus said that we should not labor for the things that perish, but labor for the eternal things.
The message from God is, to be content that he will provide what you need, not that we covet or steal another man’s car or his riches or that we should spend all our time and effort chasing riches.
Trust that God has a plan for your life. You will have high points and low points. Trust him to supply all your needs.
Philippians 4:11 KJV
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
